Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) is the most modern strategy up to date. RCM is a very flexible and universal maintenance strategy with an open methodology. However, it requires the use of special indexes to evaluate equipment condition.
Equipment Health Index is one of these indexes. It is commonly used because it is easy to calculate and analyze the results. The index value then helps to prioritize MRO jobs.
SmartEAM features automatic calculation of the equipment health index. This allows our partners to evaluate equipment condition while it is still running based on maintenance data. As the index value describes the equipment condition, it becomes possible to compare its current parameters with the nominal ones. The calculation is done based on data entered into the system during equipment inspections and sensor data.
