Trans4mation week 2020 summary

The First Industry 4.0 Forum in Eastern Europe – Trans4mation week 2020 was held from 23 to 27 November.

This year dictated completely new broadcasting formats, so the event took place online for 5 days.

FED: case Industry 4.0 Smart Factory is a leading Ukrainian manufacturer in the field of aviation and railway aggregate construction. FED representatives told how Industry 4.0 Smart Factory helped to solve the problems of bringing new products to markets (Time to market), how the introduction of an innovative solution helped to reduce the time for new products to be released and reduce the cost of manufacturing individual orders. “To be successful, you have to be fast,” is the key message that propelled FED JSC towards digital transformation.

Donbasenergo: Industry 4.0 Predictive Maintenance case – the company operates in the thermal generation segment and is an integral part of the Ukrainian energy system. The Donbasenergo case was devoted to the automation of business processes related to the project of a unified automated control system for the station’s main production assets, introduced at the Slavyanskaya TPP.

INTERPIPE: Case Industry 4.0 Smart Factory is an international company that is one of the ten largest manufacturers of seamless pipes in the world. INTERPIPE shared its experience in digital transformation Industry 4.0 Smart Factory, which began back in 2014. This allowed us to successfully compete in the international market and conquer new local markets in Europe and America. The company has changed the end-to-end planning and production management processes in all of its enterprises. As a result of the launch of Industry 4.0 Smart Factory technologies, INTERPIPE fulfills more than 95% of orders on time.

Metinvest – ZLMZ: Industry 4.0 case KOEEBOX – Zaporizhia Foundry and Mechanical Plant based on Zaporizhstal, part of the Metinvest Group. Industry 4.0 KOEEBOX makes manufacturing safer, more reliable and more efficient. The first implementations of Industry 4.0 KOEEBOX in factories increased equipment utilization up to 60%. And also allowed to avoid undesirable expenses: here you can control leaks and downtime, energy consumption, loads outside working hours.

On the final day, there was a panel discussion on the role of the state and public policies in the development of Industry 4.0. with leading speakers:
